Photo-Op for a Country Hound
Our little Country Hound is finished and has now sat patiently for his photo-op.
I’m pretty pleased with the way that this little carving has turned out. Thanks to Lynne for her ideas on this carving as I would not have come up with this composition on my own. It was fun to carve and complete.
I’ll put some additional photos on the Flickr site ( link at the side of this page ) a little bit later today.
Thank YOU for making it Mark,it’s always a pleasure watching your wonderful works of art progress and he looks fabulous, even better than I imagined, the detail you put into your work is stunning and they are always so full of life xx

Thanks Margaret. This little carving started out fairly simply, I suppose, but once started it just built over time. I’m actually surprised on how the banjo and the braided rug really added to the overall detail. I find my own eye going to those two items instead of the little hound!

Looks really awesome! I thought the banjo was out of this world but that rug is sure giving it a run for its money! Truly a piece of fine art!

Thanks Cheryl. That rug wasn’t as intricate as the banjo, but it sure was a lot of fun to do. I’ll do another one soon. I checked out your recent drawings and they are just beautiful. Keep going!

Cheryl, this little hound isn’t available but, of course, I can make something along the same theme…I suspect modified considerably through your imagination! By the way, I can’t get over the artwork that you have on BassetsOnly. Nice work. Mark.
